Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Tucked away from the busy main street, we found this small restaurant and enjoyed a peaceful lunch outdoors in the beautiful Tuscan weather. They offered a great selection of local wines, cheeses, and cured meat. Perfect for a relaxing midday break."
"highly recommend the Osso Buco, the bone marrow was one of life’s great treats and the saffron tuile was a gorgeous touch. Spinach was fresh and lively and you just have the get the Tuscan sausage and beans. Tuscan beans are the best in the world I swear! Great friendly service and lovely wine as well at affordable sizes if you fancy trying fancier bottles, a highlight of our trip"
"Great food cooked with finesse and love. We tried the suckling pig, ossa bucco, tortellini with truffles, cheese flan with caramelised pears and garlic spinach. Every dish is a winner."
"We had an excellent dinner, with friendly service. Loved the 2013 Siepi Toscana. The fresh pastas were excellent. We enjoyed the pici alla carbonara with fresh truffle, pappardelle with wild boar ragu, venison carpaccio, and a side of white beans. Highly recommend this restauran"
"Great food, wine and service. The staff were very friendly and helpful. After the rain we stopped there for lunch and we had a great time. Highly recommended. We had Ribolita, three other pastas and all were perfect."
"We're lucky to have found this place, the lunch was amazing, from the service and presentation to the dessert! The entrees were perfectly prepared, and my ravioli with tartufo was delicious. I highly recommend it. I'm thrilled!"
"Excellent service and lovely atmosphere in San Gimignano. I'll be dreaming of the beef tartare with caramelized onions — wild boar pappardelle, lamb chops, tiramisu and of course, wine were also all delicious. We considered going back again the next night to try all new dishes. Definitely a wonderful choice for dinner!"
"This place surprised us and it was fantastic. We weren’t originally going to eat here, we were on our way to another place that ended up not wanting us, so we went here instead and we’re glad we did. The food was far better then I could have predicted. You never know what you’re going to get when you go to a touristy location but wow, this was some of the better food I’ve had in Italy. From the presentation and the flavour profiles on the sauces and the way the meats were cooked, it was great. The tomatoes and salad tasted like it was fresh from a garden, so good. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the lime and mint sorbet, but still a place I would highly recommend. Staff were fantastic to deal with and accommodating. Will definitely go back here next time we’re in San Gigminano."
